Spontaneous and deeply curious, Rahul Shah is a Mumbai-based singer-songwriter rooted in indie-pop, creating music that moves through grief, hope, and healing. His artistic journey is shaped by the need to carry forward his father’s legacy who was a Qawwali singer during his childhood and the influence of greats like KL Saigal, Jagjit Singh, and Kishore Kumar.
Rahul’s work gives voice to emotions and stories often left unspoken, using music as a space for vulnerability, reflection, and acceptance. He has opened for artists such as Kailash Kher, Vir Das, and Ankur Tewari, and has performed alongside Pritam.
With 25 original releases to date, including his debut EP Theek Hai, Rahul is currently presenting his debut album Gham Ka Ghar which is a body of work that traces sadness as a room within life, and the quiet journey towards acceptance.
This show is specific to Depot48 as it marks Rahul’s first band performance in Delhi, bringing Gham Ka Ghar into a listening-first, artist-safe space that values original music and honest storytelling, making Depot48 the natural home for this experience.
