The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is accelerating digital transformation in industrial environments, yet its adoption is constrained by traditional Purdue Model architectures. Built for rigid segmentation, deterministic control, and limited connectivity, the Purdue Model introduces challenges in enabling real-time data access, scalable analytics, and cloud integration. These limitations are further amplified by cybersecurity risks and governance complexities arising from IT–OT convergence. This webinar session examines the key technical and operational challenges created by traditional Purdue Model architecture. It also presents practical mitigation strategies and architectural approaches to securely enable IIoT while preserving safety, reliability, and compliance.
