This motorbike journey will take you to the most scenic landscapes you can imagine. Think of a river flowing beside the road, cold mountain air brushing your face, silence that you can hear yourself breathing and tall snow covered mountains touching the sky. Well that is Ladakh for you.
This adventure motor ride will take you to some of the most astonishing places one of them being the highest motorable pass in the world-Khardungla Pass (5606 m).
As our excursion is for two weeks, you will have ample time to soak in the charms of Leh and Ladakh. We would ride through the highest roads in the world, cross mountain passes like Baralacha La(4890 m) and Tanglang La(5328 m), cross many Himalayan rivers and get to know the traditions and culture of the local people.
Visit ancient Buddhist monasteries and the Tibetan nomads with their caravan of Yaks and Pashmina goats on the legendary Royal Enfield Bikes.
Visit Drass and War museum at Kargil. This adventure motorcycle tour will take you to places you never know existed, experience nature and life like you have never done before. While returning, take a Shikara ride on the Dal Lake at Srinagar.

Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
Altitude: 210 m
StoneheadBikes representative will meet & greet you at the airport IGIA, (Indira Gandhi International Airport) and most flights arrive around midnight. Transfer with a private bus or taxi to your hotel accommodation in New Delhi for overnight stay. Orientation and other necessary paper works will be done at your hotel itself!
Day 2: Delhi-Chandigarh
Duration: 5-6 hours
Travelling Distance: 246 KM’s
Take the roadway from Delhi to Chandigarh riding through the NH1, treating the eyes with soothing scenic pastures on either sides of the highway. Enjoy a smooth ride throughout! Overnight stay in Chandigarh.
Day 3: Chandigarh-Manali
Altitude: 2050 m
Duration: 7-8 hours

Rise early this morning and assemble your belongings as you check out of your hotel. Gear up and embark on the long day of riding with your newfound team and head out on the National Highway NH 21. Lose yourself into the tranquil mountains as you drive on to Manali. Arrive in this exquisite hamlet and check in at your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Manali local
Altitude: 2050 m
In Manali, get ready for local sightseeing and visit River Beas, Solang Valley and hot springs, where you may take dips at Vashisht. Next, check the bikes and supplies, wrap up any last minute shopping and gear up for an adventurous ride through the Rohtang La, the next day.
Day 5: Manali-Keylong
Travelling Distance: 117 km
Duration: 3-4 hours
Altitude: 3080 m
You will drive along the Beas River upstream along the left bank through several villages, until you reach the Rohtang Pass (4050 m / 13,287 ft.). You will then drive down to reach in Gramphu, and then the passport check point at Koksar. Afterwards, you will carry on to reach in Keylong; the tribal district headquarters.
Day 6: Keylong-Sarchu
Travelling Distance: 114 km
Duration: 3-4 hours
Altitude: 4290 m
You will leave to the higher region, accompanied by zigzag uphill roads in the shadow of hanging glaciers to the scenic Baralacha La (4800 m / 15,748 ft.), before we descend to the Sarchu plateau. Overnight stay at Sarchu campsite.
Day 7: Sarchu-Tsokar
Travelling Distance: 140 km
Duration: 4-5 hours
Altitude: 4530 m
You will leave the vast Sarchu plateau, to head up a curvy drive until you reach Namik La (4950 m / 16,240 ft.), where you can experience the spectacular views of rugged rocks and their unique geological formation. Then you go over Lachu Lang La (5090 m / 16,699 ft.) before descending to the gorge of the cliffy GanglaJal to Pang. You will then continue through the vast plateau of Kyang Chu-Thang (plateau of wild donkey) to Tsokar, via dusty and unidentified trails. The Tsokar lake – also called White Lake because of the salt deposits around it – is where extracted salt from its shores is still sold all over Ladakh, as well as yellow headed Wagtail, Pled Wagtail, Desert Wheatears, Raven, Horned Lark etc.
Day 8: Tsokar-Leh
Travelling Distance: 153 km
Duration: 4-5 hours
Altitude: 3500 m
After the breakfast drive to Leh by passing through Tanglang La Pass 17,585ft, second highest motorable road in the world, reach Upshi for entry of tourist and tourist vehicle, from here drive along with banks of Indus river & Valley. Arrive at Leh by evening. Overnight in hotel.
Day 9: Leh Local
Altitude: 3500 m
Rest day, shopping and local sightseeing in Leh.
Day 10: Leh-Pangong Lake-Leh
Travelling Distance: 290 km
Altitude: 4350 m
After Breakfast leave for Pangong Lake (14,500 ft), through Changla Pass 17,350 ft., it is the third highest motor able road in the world. Arrive Pangong Lake, which is the highest salt water Lake in the World, shared by two countries India & China. Enjoy the beauty of the lake. Drive back to leh, overnight stay in hotel.
Day 11: Leh-Khardung La-Leh
Travelling Distance: 80 KM’s
Altitude: 5540 m /18,175 ft.
Today’s tour will begin with an uphill until the Khardung La, as it is the highest point you will need to be cautious of altitude sickness. However, oxygen cylinders will be within the accompanying vehicle throughout the journey. Once you have reached on top of the highest motor able pass in the world, you can enjoy the magnificent views of Himalaya and its valleys. You will then head back for Leh, where you will have lunch and then you will be free for the rest of the day. Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 12: Leh-Kargil
Travelling Distance: 213 km
Duration: 7-8 hours
Altitude: 3,500 m to 2,680 m
Following a brief stopover at Leh, start on an onward journey through the eminent town of Kargil. Remember to pay your respects at the Lamayuru Monastery that rests en route this course. Upfront on this runway, you will pass the exquisite Fotu La Pass that marks as the highest spot on the road running from Leh to Srinagar. Follow this road to descend into Kargil and Pitch tents here at the basecamp for an overnight stay.
Day 13: Kargil- Srinagar
Travelling Distance: 203 km
Duration: 6-7 hours
Altitude: 2,680m to 3,280m
Kick-start your motorcycle for an exciting journey today as you cross through Drass, the second chilliest place on earth. If time allows, a stopover at the War Museum en route will be notable to pay heed to the significant bravery of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation in the Kargil War fought in 1999. Climb to the peak of Tiger Hill before you continue your road trip to salute Indian Flag! Continue on your ride by crossing the Pass of Zoji La as you arrive in the plush green Sonamarg Valley and witness the true measure of the term ‘Heaven on Earth’. Reach Srinagar by nightfall and check in to your hotels for an overnight stay.
Day 14: Srinagar
Bid farewell to the picturesque city of Srinagar and head out on the road that will take you to the Srinagar Airport to fly back your home!
