Ghazals ETC A time-lapse of Emotions

A Ghazal is a whiff of that familiar perfume in a crowded street, that takes you back to an old love. A Ghazal is that wholesome expression of love that we grew up listening to being hummed around the house. A Ghazal is the unsent letter of love that everyone wants to write, admire, and save between the pages of their favourite books. ‘Ghazals etc.’ is a celebration of those times, an attempt to bookmark those cherished memories with Ghazals and ghazal-numa melodies that will stay close to our hearts.

‘Ghazals etc.’ curated by ‘From Our Living Room’ (FML), is a platform for collaboration, experimentation, and exploration of the traditional Ghazal form in new and inclusive ways. ‘Ghazals are for everyone’ is the thought that ‘Ghazals Etc.’ took its origin from. With a diverse and curated bouquet of multiple art forms, this show promises to enable the accessibility of ghazals to anyone and everyone. This experience aims at stitching together a musical journey for a beautiful, musical evening under the stars to transcend you into some emotional time capsules.

About the Artist

Borrowing his musical genes from his family, Manveer started his journey with music at the age of 5. As he continued to build his musical happy place, he appreciated the emotions music could invoke and the ease of expression that it enabled for him. Manveer’s music has taken him to various places and platforms, including ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’. He released two originals on Sony Mix in 2021. Currently, Manveer performs live-shows across the country with his band, ‘Rubbber Band’. He is also working on his music album while he curates ‘Ghazals etc.
