FSSAI is the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, and registration is a mandatory requirement for food operators across the country as per the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. Home bakers also require this registration and will fall under the Petty Food Business category.
The process for registration is to apply online, which we can do for you. On application, the respective FSSAI official assigned for your area will review your application and may visit your home kitchen or studio space. After this, you will be issued your registration with a 14 digit number.
The documents required are:
- A self-attested photocopy of the ID Proof (Aadhaar Card/ Voter identity card/PAN card/Driving license) of Owner/ Partners/ Director.
- A photograph of yourself crossed with your signature
Our fees for this service are as follows:
- FSSAI Registration for One Year - Rs. 750 + GST
- Registration for every subsequent year - Rs. 500 per year
This fee will cover the government fees, GST and our service charges. However, any other charge which may arise incidentally to the process will have to be borne by the customer.
Your registration is subject to the FSSAI process including the site visit. We are not responsible for any delay, failure in the grant of registration. The fees paid are not refundable.
