                                     at Kerala Startup Mission, kalamassery,Kochi.  

About the Event :

Forenoon session includes a discussion on Amphibious Building, revised version of the Floating Architecture and the need for eco-technologies like floating wetlands for flood resistance and smooth flow of water.   

Afternoon session will be an interactive session,fun but enriching activities,which will enable you to bring up novel ideas for our survival.  

Participation certificates will be provided at the end of the event.

• NestAbide was co-founded by Nanma Gireesh, along with her friend and classmate Ben K George in 2018. Both of them pursued Translational Engineering, a branch of post graduate engineering which is a unique course and it aims to bridge the gap between technology and society. 
• She was awarded Best Project Award - 2018 by Translational Research and Professional Leadership Centre, GEC Barton Hill, for her M.Tech thesis project ‘Translational Approach to Amphibious Construction in Munroe Islands, Kollam, Kerala.’
  

• Nanma was a speaker at TEDx Thiruvananthapuram 2019 and talked on amphibious houses and floating through climate change.
• She represented India at the International Conference on Amphibious Architecture, Design and Engineering (ICAADE), 2019 and at the Global Amphibious Policy Symposium (GAPS), both held at Faculty of Architecture, Warsaw University of Technology, Poland, which works on building codes and standards for Amphibious and floating buildings in close connections with experts in the field from Canada, Netherlands, Britain etc.
• Nanma has addressed more than 800 students and professionals of different colleges and  institutions respectively in 2019 after TEDx Thiruvananthapuram. 
• Speaker for Civil Engineering students at first ever Professional Students’ Summit 2019  organized by Additional Skill Acquisition Programme (ASAP) and Government of Kerala in February, 2019.
• Speaker at GEC Barton Hill, Trivandrum in connection with Notebook Talk Series’19  organized by IEDC (Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell) in October 2019. 
• Speaker for All Kerala Students’ Congress 2019 IEEE LINK held at GEC Kannur in October 2019.
