STORY TALKIES: STORIES IN COMMUNICATION
Enhancing Conversations through storytelling workshop by Deevas Gupta
“It's like everyone tells a story about themselves inside their own head. Always. All the time. That story makes you what you are. We build ourselves out of that story.”
- Patrick Rothfuss
We are all made of stories, raised through stories and connect through stories. Right from a casual living room discussion to an ad commercial, from cinema to planning your next vacation, from negotiating for overpriced merchandise to a professional business conference, stories enhance our day-to-day. It is almost impossible to deny the importance of stories in our lives.
As Patrick Rothfuss says, a story is a reflection of oneself. It makes the listener empathize with the characters, situations and the storyteller. As each story unfolds, people start connecting to the characters, emotions and the storyteller.
So why not use the power of storytelling to make way, to connect, to convince and collaborate? All this and more only by fine-tuning your art of storytelling.
Learn simple, day-to-day conversation techniques, body language, structure, pitch and presentation. Lead with a story and make an impact. A good story, if told well, can change your life.
Workshop conducted by Deevas Gupta.
