This is our 23rd Meetup in Pune with a theme of 

DevOps QA

The highlight of this meetup are 

1. Panel discussion -  where few of the industry stalwarts are going to be with us discussing on DevOps and QA.

Few distinguished guests who would be participating in this panel discussion

c. Mr Anand Padhye - Global Head of Testing - Tieto

2. Second Highlight is the first of it's kind Continuous Testing HackATAhon 

90 minutes competition for automating problem statement and integrating with a CI system - Use of any tools is allowed. Rules are below.

3. Interesting interactive sessions on DevOps and QA

 

Please note that this is a community meetup and the attendance is free. The cover charges of 300 INR would be fully refunded if you attend the program. This is to ensure serious registrations.

9:00 am : Opening and Welcome Address by Amol Deshpande (President ATA Pune Chapter)

9:30 am - 11:00 am : Continuous Testing HackATAhon #CTHackATAhon (Rules and information are below)

11:00 am - 11:10 am : Tea Break

 

11:15 am - 11:45 am : Interactive Session 1 - 'Role of QA in DevOps - "Static Testing and Code Coverage" - by Prashant Beniwal (Director Testing, Amdocs)


11:45 am - 12:15 pm : Interactive Session 2 - Speaker details will be announced soon


12:15 pm - 1:15 pm : Panel Discussion - DevOps and QA

 


1:15 pm - 1:30 pm : Closure

 

======================Rules for #CTHackATAhon=========================

1. It is a team event (maximum 3 members in the team). Team can be of minimum 1 person or maximum 3 people.


2.Problem statement will be provided to all the teams at the start of the event along with hook to a GIT repository. Participants have to automate the problem statement and hookwith a CI system like jenkins.

3.Participants will have to carry their own laptops and tools

4.Participants can use any tool or internal framework as long as the test can be setup and run on the Jury members machine.

5.Participants would be using internet during the competition

6.Participants are suggested to carry their own internet dongles (although the internet facility is being planned, but due to concurrent bandwidth consumption, the official internet connectivity may be slow or drop completely)

7.One person can be part of only one team

8.One organization can nominate as many teams as they want

9.Teams will not be allowed to talk to each other during the competition

10.Participants can also form a cross organization teams (which means that team members can be there from different organizations)

11.Evaluation will be based on following points (Evaluation criterion may get modified)
a. Quality and stability of automation
b. Ability to modify tests (changes, addition and deletion of test scenarios)
c. Speed at which changes can be incorporated
d. Speed of execution
e. Maintenance effort
f. Integration smoothness with CI tool
g. Integration with other shift left / continuous testing tools

12. Jury’s decision would be final

Awards, Accolades and Prizes
==================================

1. All teams will fetch 50 points on the GTR Leaderboard for their organization. If the team members are from different organizations the points will be split in appropriate ratio. https://gtr.agiletestingalliance.org/leaderboard.html


2. 1 Winning team members and 1st and 2nd runner up team members will be given Digital Certificates for their achievement

3. The winning team members will be getting a Full day conference pass for #ATAGTR2019 Day one. 

4. Leadership Points that winning team will fetch is 500 points followed by 300 and 200 points by the 1st and 2nd runner for the ATAGTR2019 leaderboard

5. All three winning teams will be getting special goodies from ATA
