It is estimated that IIT alumni globally are responsible for over $1.5 trillion of budgets annually, across companies and other organisations. It is now time to create a structured convergence between the IITs and industry so that companies can benefit from the intellectual powerhouses that the IITs are.
It is with this focused goal in mind that IIT Alumni Centre Bengaluru (IITACB) is hosting the first IIT-Industry Conclave 2020 in Bengaluru in February 2020. Directors from over a dozen IIT campuses will be at the Conclave. In addition, there will be focused sessions on Information & Communications Technology (ICT); Biotechnology; Aerospace; and, Manufacturing.
Speakers from industry, the IITs and government will be part of these sessions. The theme of this conclave is - How IITs and Industry can accelerate collaborations together to make a significant difference to our national economy so that we achieve a GDP of $ 5 trillion by 2025.
Speakers will include Dr. V.K.Saraswat, Nandan Nilekani, Prof. P. Balaram, Dr. K. Radhakrishnan, Prof. Satyajit Mayor, Hari Bhartia, Bala Bharadwaj, Bhaskar Bhat and many others.
