IIA India is glad to announce the schedule of The Online Fluency in English Training Module.

Event Details:

SCHEDULE: -

1) The workshop will be conducted for a total of 32 hours, 4 hours a day on 8 consecutive Sundays, from 9 am to 1.15 pm. Tea break will be from 11 to 11.15 am.

2) The dates are 8 consecutive Sundays as follows: 27 Dec, 2020 and 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 Jan, 7 and 14 Feb, 2021.

II) KEY OBJECTIVE: - To make the participants fluent, confident and correct when communicating in English.

III) CONTENTS: -

i) Flawless pronunciation - Through the study of pronunciation symbols i.e. phonetics.

ii) Common Errors in English grammar.

iii) Effectively using a dictionary for studying the Oxford 3000 keywords and other words.

iv) Art of speaking effectively.

IV) METHODOLOGY: -

i) Pronunciation: - All the participants will be trained in FLAWLESS pronunciation through the study of phonetics. All the 46 sounds in English are taught to the participants and they are trained in how to learn the correct pronunciation of even the toughest words in English by checking it in the dictionary. Pronunciation training takes a total of 6 hours.

ii) Grammar: - The participants will be trained in correcting the common errors made in English grammar. This grammar training takes a total of 8 hours.

iii) Vocabulary: - The trainer will provide guidance to the participants on how to use a dictionary to study the spelling, pronunciation, part of speech, multiple meanings and derivatives of the Oxford 3000 keywords and other words. Dictionary usage training takes a total of 4 hours.

iv) Art of speaking effectively: - The participants will be trained in the art of using the right tone, pitch, volume, pace, emphasis and pauses, for speaking effectively. The participants will be put through a number of speaking exercises online. Their performance in these exercises will be evaluated and they will be given feedback for improvement. Training for speaking effectively takes a total of 14 hours.
