Three part E-learning series on ' Basics of Internal Audit' by IIA Delhi chapter in Feb'2021

Greetings of the day!

We are glad to announce that IIA Delhi Chapter is hosting a special E-learning series on Basics of internal audits engagement, which is spread over three separate online training sessions, with CPE hours of 2 hours for every session provided by IIA India.

The internal audit profession has continued to redefine itself with as business risk and organizational complexity has evolved. Professionals who have just entered internal auditing, need a solid foundation as they enter the profession. There is a need to understand the fundamental concepts and knowledge they need to succeed in the world of internal audit. This is more important since both senior management and the audit committee have an expectation that the internal audit activity will provide assurance around all important risks.

This special series will focus on providing a detailed understanding of key basics of internal auditing. Auditors will learn how to conduct internal audit engagements, perform risk assessment (along with some tools & techniques), maintaining audit working papers and conducting audit communications.

The following areas will be covered in the series:

Part 1 – Feb 04, 2021 (8pm to 10pm)

• Conducting Audit Walkthrough:

o Audit engagement Objectives;

• Scope of the audit engagement;

• Conducting Risk Assessment:

• Identifying key controls and substantive testing

Part 2 – Feb 11, 2021 (8pm to 10pm)

• Maintaining audit evidences and work papers :

o Identify the methods to gather and evaluate sufficient, appropriate audit evidence.

o Identify the manual procedures/computerized used by internal audit to gather audit evidence.

o Identify the characteristics of well-prepared audit work papers.

Part 3 – Feb 18, 2021 (8pm to 10pm)

• Audit engagement communications:

o Reasons for communicating assurance engagement outcomes;

• Different forms of assurance engagement communications;

• Creating an effective assurance engagement communication;

Effective monitoring of, and follow-up on, assurance engagement outcomes.

Fees IIA Member: - Per part INR 600/- or; If registered for all three parts, then INR 1500/-

Trainer Profile: - Ms. Kanwaljeet Kaur is the managing director of Kapp Edge solutions with over 14 years of experience as a fraud investigator and digital forensic consultant. She is Fellow Chartered Accountant, a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) & NCFM qualified. She has served many corporates and MNC’s and works a trainer and does consulting engagements in investigations and digital forensics. She is a active member of the PHD chamber of commerce in their corporate affairs committee and is the Deputy Chairperson of the IIA Delhi Chapter Women’s circle committee.
